In the article we have underlined the basic approaches to the study of intimacy, the classification of its types and the conditions of intimate experience. Intimacy has been considered as a personal or interpersonal phenomenon. There is a correlation between the level and frequency of personal intimate experiences and individual psychological characteristics and attitude towards intimacy.
