The article is devoted to the comparative analysis of peculiarities of perception of information by students who prefer different strategies of network activity. The article presents the theoretical aspects of the perception of information in the network communication. The authors draw attention to the fact that the systematic and long-term use of information technologies leads to the emergence of other ways of processing, analysis, presentation and evaluation of information, the emergence of various “communicative failures” of perception, manifested in the absence of emotions and behavioral responses. The empirical study revealed the specific features of the perception of information by students, the relationship of network communication strategies and styles of information perception.
