USE OF MODERN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN PREPARING FUTURE FACULTY OF PRESCHOOL EDUCATION

Abstract

The Article considers the actuality of the information technologies usage in teaching of future preschool education specialists. The term “Information Technologies” is defined as “the totality of methods, search techniques, accumulation, storage, systematization, processing, transmission, reporting, use of computers and computer communications”. Student’s mastering modern information technology and usage is important. This, in our opinion, significantly increases the content of educational process in institutions of higher education and will allow implementation of acquired skills in the independent practical activities by future preschool education specialists. It has been outlined the main approaches to the usage of modern information technologies in training of future teachers of the preschool education institutions for the development of children’s speech and, in particular, adjustments of the sound culture of the preschool age children’s speech. Topic “Methods of the Sound Speech Culture Teaching of the Preschool Age Children” is studied in the course of “Pre-School Linguodidactics” (“Theory & Methods of the Native Language Teaching of the Preschool Age Children”). It is quite difficult for students to master because it requires a thorough theoretical knowledge in the Ukrainian language, psycholinguistics, phonetics, principles of speech therapy and other sciences, practical preparation for correcting the children’s speech, as well as development of individual program for correction of shortcomings of the speech sound culture of the preschool age children. 128 answers given by the fourth-year full-time and extramural students majoring in Preschool Education have been analysed with the purpose of identifying problem situations while preparation of future teachers of the preschool education institutions for pedagogical correction of deficiencies of the sound speech culture. Analysis of students’ answers showed that future teachers of preschool educational institutions experienced some difficulties in the visual presentation of the theoretical foundations in the topic “Methods of the Sound Speech Culture Teaching of the Preschool Age Children”. They had problems with videos searching in the Internet, in particular, classes for the preschool age children’s speech development in the Ukrainian language, selection of video lessons with preschool age children, which would fully meet the methodological requirements for giving them. Among the difficulties in the modern information technologies usage in the educational activities of preschool education institutions during the production of pedagogical practices, 65% of surveyed persons identified insufficient level of technical equipment of institutions with computers, video projectors, mediocre level of professional readiness of the future teachers of preschool education institutions for the use of modern information technologies in education of the youngest state citizens; difficulty in finding the necessary information and implementation of skills to create their own video presentations according to the outlined topic. The following factors increased motivation of the future teachers of the preschool education institutions for the active search activities and creative tasks realizing: creating presentation of projects of the scientific-methodical information in various aspects of the speech sound culture educating of the preschool age children, in particular, creation of author’s webinars, presentations of methodological associations of teachers of the preschool education institutions, video presentations for parents of the preschool children, searching in the Internet of the computer-intelligent classes concerning the topic, modelling with the help of video recordings of activities in the speech development of the preschool age children and new variants of classes that meet the objectives of the project, etc. Adequate level of acquaintance of future specialists of the preschool education institutions with the modern information technologies allows to institutions of the higher education to introduce actively distance learning, which contributes to the successful combination of educational and professional activity of the future teachers of preschool educational institutions.
