PSYCHOLOGICAL THEORY OF «I-CONCEPT» FORMATION IN PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of self-concept. The scientific approaches of understanding the concept are described. The article provides an analysis of scientific approaches in the area of self forming, which make it possible to define self-concept as a dynamic autoorganizational and regulative system of the personality, including: perception own physical (external), social, intellectual, internal properties, a sense of own existence in temporary length of life (selfimage); value attitude to this properties (self-esteem); readiness for action and social interrelation according to formed locus of subjective control. The issue concerning main arguments, forming, development and self-realization of self-concept is highlighted. The scientific approaches of study self-concept, its modality and aspects are described. The psychological differences of concepts: “self”, “selfimage”, “self-concept”, “self-consciousness” are demonstrated. The socio-psychological features of forming “self-concept” for people with ontogeny disabilities proceeding from psychodynamic and existentialhumanistic areas of psychology are revealed.
