ЕМОЦІЙНИЙ ІНТЕЛЕКТ: СУЧАСНІ ПІДХОДИ ДО ЙОГО РОЗУМІННЯ

The article gives the detailed definition of the ‘emotional intelligence’ phenomenon and its structure. The contribution into the development of the unity of the affect and intellect idea is displayed in the studies of such scientists as L.S. Vygotsky, S.L. Rubinstein, A.N. Leontiev and others. There are specified the preconditions of the introduction of the ‘emotional intelligence’ term into the psychological theory in the former Soviet Union. A special attention is paid to the Ukrainian scientists’ contribution in solving the problem of this conceptualization phenomenon. The article views the problems related to the study of emotional intelligence – the set of mental abilities to the emotional information processing. There are theoretical models and the emotional intelligence concepts analyzed in this article as well as the description of its components in the framework of the existing models is given. There is also the current state of the emotional intelligence phenomenon research in domestic and foreign psychological science observed.
