Abstract

The goals of Bologna Declaration are being implemented differently in Switzerland and Ukraine – in the states with different economic and political systems. The comparison of Switzerland with Ukraine on the basis of six parameters that were worked out by the “Follow-Up” Group of the Bologna Declaration, makes it possible to reveal the similarities and differences in achievements and challenges of higher education in these countries. In spite of different economic and political contexts of higher education in Switzerland and Ukraine and some advance of Switzerland in
realization of the Bologna Declaration requirements, Ukraine potentially
is fully capable to fulfil the main requirement of the Bologna Declaration
– to guarantee life-long education.
