Abstract

The theoretical ground of the development of social intelligence as a component of student’s inclusion to the social life of society is given in the paper. Age features of the social intelligence development are shown and main characteristics of the social intelligence level of foreign students are learned. It is proved that a high level of social intelligence is a basic component of the formation of a specialist in social area and management. It also helps to forecast the development of interpersonal relationships and that is why favors the successful person’s adaptation and self-development. The level of foreign students’ social intelligence was examined and a distinction in its development among students of the first and second course was established. It was discovered that the majority of the first year students have a high level of the social intelligence whereas most students of the third year, despite the expectation based on features of the personal development, have an average level of the social intelligence.
