ОСОБЛИВОСТІ ЗАСТОСУВАННЯ КОМУНІКАТИВНОГО МЕТОДУ НАВЧАННЯ ІНОЗЕМНІЙ МОВІ У ПРОФЕСІЙНИХ ВНЗ

Abstract

The main theoretical questions of nature and content of the communicative method of teaching a foreign language are highlighted in the article. The principles, components and conditions of successful application of communicative method of teaching a foreign language in the educational process of professional higher educational establishments are pointed out. The communicative method (Communicative Language Teaching method, CLT) is in reality a broad approach rather than a specific teaching methodology, and has become the accepted “standard” in English language teaching. There are some popular misconceptions of what CLT involves. Learning a language is interactive, co-operative, learner-centered and content-based.
