Abstract

This paper reviews different approaches to the interpretation of the psychological phenomenon of guilt. Designated close relationship with guilt feelings as fear and shame. Revealed that guilt is provoked by social norms and inner circle man. The influence of parents on the formation of guilt in the child. Determined that this process is unconscious during interpersonal interactions. Also found that guilt, some authors refer to the higher emotions. Revealed some features of human experience guilt. Defined regulatory function guilt. Revealed that guilt inherent empathy personality. Also, some scientists, guilt identified as fear of punishment. It was determined that one of the most important functions of guilt is prevention of mental disorders. Found that feelings of guilt increases willingness to make concessions to man. It is indicated that this phenomenon has not been studied almost domestic scientists. It is concluded that the phenomenon of guilt remains a pressing issue for further research.
