The article shows the currency of the person responsibility problem in the present conditions. It states that any state is in need of society that can make decision and be responsible for its behaviour. Today values revaluation is less than the problem of the responsible personality formation that may become a push for changing the social ideas and state changing in general. It describes the basic approaches in researching the responsibility and criteria of responsible behaviour. According to the base of scientific and theoretical views, the author’s interpretation of what the responsibility concept is the following: multidimensional characteristics of personality that includes three main components: cognitive, emotional and behavioral. When the society responsibility grows, it gains a leading role in political, spiritually-ideological and other relations; its improvement is an important part of the society growth.
