“VALUES” OF THE UNIVERSITIES AND AN INVESTIGATION TO “THE CORE VALUES” OF UNIVERSITY COMMITMENTS IN VIETNAM
Keywords:

This paper presents the concerns about values of the universities in light of current misleading roles, beliefs, and offers of higher educational institutes. Starting from the facts of increasing unemployment rate of graduates in higher education in the recent years, the data from World Bank partly displays the missing values of universities in the current period of the society. With an aim to investigate the current existing values from the core values of university commitments in Vietnam, the authors focus on reviewing literature for a proper understanding about “values of the universities” and draw out the analysis for that of a specific situation in Vietnam. This article is also an attempt to identify the different views of values from scientific knowledge and somewhat of unscientific beliefs.
