Abstract

The article is devoted to the training of future food industry engineers. The authors analyzed the foreign language training of future food industry engineers in Ukrainian universities. The necessity of designing the system of formation of foreign language professional competence of future food industry engineers and its main features are grounded in the article. The main system components are goals, approaches, academic content, principles, methods, training, stages, student and teacher activities. The system of formation of foreign language professional competence of future food industry engineers is based on integration of competence, systematic, humane, synergistic, differential, person-centered, active, epistemological approaches. The subject, interdisciplinary, linguistic knowledge, language, learning, cognitive and other skills, the formation of which are provided by industry standards of higher education in Ukraine, are the components of foreign language professional competence. The basic stages of the formation of foreign language professional competence are cognitive stage, activity and evaluation stage and correctional stage.
