The theoretical analysis of the concept of personality’s psychological well-being has been presented in the article. The topicality of the subject is determined by the need of theoretical justification of psychological well-being construct in the framework of positive psychology, which reflects the level of positive personality functioning and the satisfaction of one’s own life. The paper deals with the domestic and foreign studies of personality’s psychological well-being, the overview of the modern research approaches of this construct is presented in the article. The analysis of hedonistic and eudemonic traditions in interpretation and study of psychological well-being has been performed. According to the hedonistic approach of well-being of the personality is adjacent to the experience of happiness. From the standpoint of the eudeministic approach, the main indicator of well-being is the completeness of selfrealization of the individual in particular living conditions. Based on the principles of a systematic approach, in domestic psychology, subjective well-being is studied within the framework of subjective and complex approaches that allow one to consider this phenomenon as including simultaneously both intrapersonal processes and the surrounding reality. In general, researchers are united in the opinion that the nature of the well-being of the individual is a subjective phenomenon that can be appreciated by the person himself, based on his personality traits, life situations that could have happened to him earlier, experiences regarding different aspects of his life, activity , of itself and of the social conditions in which it is at a given time.
