Keywords:
intellect, intellectual operations, intellectual cognition, understandingAbstract
The article deals with the features of intellectual cognition in the historical context. It is proved that the domestic psychological thought on its way to its professional development considers intellectual operations in their relations to the subject, and the process of intellectual cognition as the activity of the cognizing human subject is aimed at the knowledge of the essential links of objects that exist independently of the intellect and the creation on the basis of this cognition system of knowledge, or science about this object. This purposeful activity is practical, because its goal is to create something of practical value.
