CONFLICT MANAGEMENT COMPETENCE OF THE FUTURE ENGINEER: THEORY AND PRACTICE
Abstract
The article contains the generalized results of the theoretical analysis of the essence, structure, regularities of functioning and development of conflict management competence from the standpoint of the domestic psychological science. It is proved that the conflict management competence as the individual’s ability to act in a conflict situation with the purpose of minimizing the destructive consequences of the conflict allows a specialist to develop constructive and reasonable relationships with all subjects of professional communication and activities. Some deficiencies of the psychological component of professional training of engineers to-be which prevent the formation of conflict management competence during the technical education are determined. Factors influencing the formation and development of conflict management competence are systematized, and ways of its focused formation at the stage of professional training are outlined.
