Abstract

The article investigates the professionalization and professional demand of psychology students. Level of development of individual professional demand is seen as a significant predictor of life meaningfulness and effectiveness of adaptive processes. The awareness level of professional competence allows to develop a strategy for moving to the heights of professionalism and track the evolution of professional growth. The thesis that knowledge of an individual profile professional demand provides valuable information for solving problems of guidance and serves as an important tool for organizing psychodiagnostic support psychology students. Professional meaningful demand can be summarized in the following seven constructs (functional components): the degree of satisfaction with professional potential; belonging to a professional community; experience professional demand; attitude toward themselves as competent and authoritative professional; evaluation of professional activity; perception of the relation of others to himself as a significant professional; attitude toward themselves as significant for other professional.
